Just For Fun

Came to bed and noticed that Maebh wasn’t in her usual spot sleeping…because she was fascinated by this rather large spider (and even though this is the land of all things poisonous, this one is fine…except fir the potential nasty bite)

So a few snapshots later, said spider is now outside…still on the vase because no amount of banging the vase on the lawn would convince it to loosen it’s grip

Poor spider, so tiny and defenseless… :)

Tempting as that was…

I did notice the spider was no longer in the vase when I checked this morning though. Which is good, or we'd never be able to use it again…

You Aussies have some of the nastiest spiders in the world. I hope Maebh has learned to give them some healthy respect.

I'm sure she was torturing the poor thing, which is why it made its way up the wall…

Pet deaths from our deadly spiders are comparatively rare, but certainly not unheard of.

Thankfully, most of our deadly stuff is very anti-social and stays away. This poor huntsman, while HUGE, wouldn't cause any real harm.

Ugh. *shudder* Super-freaked that you guys get spiders THAT BIG just crawling around in your house :O(
I don't know how you're able to sleep??!!!
And this is why I couldn't do Australia (as sad as it is)
I'm glad you didn't die.

The only deaths this spider would have been caused would be heart attacks from the shock.

Seriously though, at least we don't live in the tropical parts of the country, or South America, where there are spiders that eat BIRDS!!!!!!

And in case you hadn't noticed…we don't sleep much ;) Or we take it in turns…lol
