Poll: a step too far…maybe…?

Just For Fun

There’s been a little bit of Conchord Flying around the blogosphere in the past week or so.

When it first came out, Diane and I watched a few episodes, but for whatever reason it didn’t really click with us at the time.  I’ve been trying to think what was going on 2 years ago that made it unfunny for us.  I got nothing at the moment.

Well, in fact, I find this video of theirs very very funny…

But, at the same time, it probably crosses a line that perhaps shouldn’t be crossed.  I’m not sure though, so I need you to decide for me in the poll down there in the comments.

Ok, so I’m really just testing out some of the funky new Intense Debate comment coolness, but I thought I should actually make it something worth commenting on (ie: semi controversial, perhaps)

So scoot on over and watch the video (decided not to embed, you may know why once you’ve finished the 2 minutes), then come on back and vote!

And Jenni…that song…it really is on its way.  I’ve got lots of great excuses for the delay.  You’ll love them.  Really, you will.  The latest one is particularly great.

Next post though…Diane’s guest blog on When Heaven Invades Earth, Part II.  I can’t wait !

Any chance to talk about moral issues is a plus for me. This could open up an INTENSE DEBATE on what Christians & non Christians think on the issue of sex before marriage.

Oh, yeah…besides the fact that they are stinkin' hilarious.

I've always had fondness for the word lewd (stems back to my law studies…it's just one of those words I can't say without sniggering a little bit), so this feeds on that quite nicely

It could…but I might need some (more) readers for that to happen…

I thought it was hilarious when I first saw it. The best part is at the end when she's like, "ugh… thanks?". BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

That's my favourite bit too…the unspoken "YOU FREAKS" bit…

Guess, I'm the odd man out. I didn't find it funny at all. I'm not into that kind of humor.

To be honest, I'm really glad not everyone likes this. Otherwise it wouldn't be controversial :)

Made me a little uncomfortable.. probably because it was too close to the kind of song i would have sung someone if i could have played a guitar when i was 18!

Did not like it as much as some of their other works.

Ummm.. probably not? ( this particular song -for reasons state above!) :-)

With Stu???? Ughhhh!

Ah, what Diane and I call "The Office Effect", where the UK version of The Office is just a little too close to reality to truly find funny

Hmmm. The Office Effect? Yes! nice one :-)

Glad you mentioned the UK one for clarity ( and i also worked in an office and juuuuust never found the humour all that funny. It still beats the US version by a factor of 10 though ( Sorry folks, it's just true!)
